ADSENSE TIPS

The One Simple Trick That Can Double Your Adsense
Revenue

I've been working with Google's Adsense program for a while now. If you're not
already in the program, why not take a look at it now at
https://www.google.com/adsense. I really like Adsense. It makes me money
and it's easy to work with. Just some simple copy & paste into your webpage
and you're done. Right?
Wrong! You can do it that way if you want. Who knows? Maybe you'll get lucky
and get a lot of clicks. But if you're really serious about making a lot of money
with the program, you're going to have to tweak it a little.
I've invested quite a bit of time experimenting with the program. When I first
signed up, I got some clicks and made a tiny bit of money. That wasn't good
enough. I knew there must be a way to get more of my visitors to click on the
ads.
Google has a strict policy about not pointing to the ads in any way or asking
people to click on them, so there were two things I couldn't do. What else was
there?
Then I remembered reading an article once that discussed the psychological
impact of colors on the human mind. I started researching everything I could
find on the subject.
After a lot of reading, many tests and periods of watching my clicks go up and
down, I found the one color combination that seemed to work the best.
Testing previously done at supermarkets had revealed that the same product
could pull more sales from just changing the colors of the label. What were
these colors? Red and yellow! The combination of these two colors has an
immediate impact on the person who sees them. They make your eyes stop and
focus. They pull your eyes right to that part of the page. They grab your
attention! I'm not sure exactly why the combination of red and yellow does this,
but it does. On one of my sites, I changed my Adsense ads to a bright red
border and a yellow background with black text and URL.
My click through rate more than doubled with just that one simple change.
That's what worked on my site. Your site's color scheme may work better with a
slightly different color combination. Try lots of different color variations. Make a
change in the morning and let it ride for the whole day. The next morning, try a
different set of colors. Change the border, background, text. Change everything
you can. Most importantly, keep detailed records of the color scheme you used,
click ratio and revenue generated.
After you've done all the experimenting you want to, go back to the most
profitable one and let it run for a week or so and see how it does. I'm always
trying different colors even after my run of good clicks with red and yellow.
There are a lot of color combinations to choose from. You never know when
you'll find just the right one.

Choose The Right Category For Your WebSite

Choose The Right Category For Your WebSite

Have your website rejected by a link directory? Most probably you selected a wrong category for your submission. The most common reason for your website rejection by a directory is that you placed it to the wrong category.

The link directories are divided into different categories and require the websites to be placed into the most relevant category. In most directories you'll be asked to find the page you would like your link to be included on and click on the "Submit" or "Add" button on that page to submit your website to the selected category.

Every link directory provides you with a search directory option. You can use this facility to choose the right category for your website. Just enter the keywords that your website most closely relates to and click Search. You'll get a list of websites that match your search query. Those websites are already listed in the directory and are related to your site. The search scripts in the majority of directories include the category location of each particular website. So, go to that category and submit your site to it.

The directory can have the additional submission guidelines that appear after you click on the "Submit URL" button on your chosen page. If your website does not meet any requirement for that category, do not submit it. Go back to your keyword search page and check other related categories. If you're regional based, you'll want to submit your website to the regional category of your topic.

How Do you Choose a Directory to Submit Your Website To?

How Do you Choose a Directory to Submit Your Website To?

If you created a website and wish to submit it to link directories, analyze the following factors before submitting your link because not all the directories are worth to submit to, especially if you are placing a reciprocal link or pay a submission fee.

Evaluate the link directory from these sides:

1. Directory page rank

You'll want PR 4 or higher. But when the submission is free and doesn't require a reciprocal link exchange, then you may submit to a directory with a lower PR especially if this is a highly related niche directory which has a lot of very targeted traffic.

2. Directory link popularity

Good directories care about increasing their links value which in turn increases their attraction to webmasters. Fast Directory Submitter will help you analyze the link popularity of a directory (and any other website).

3. PR of the page your website will be placed on

If the home page has a high PR, it doesn't always mean that particular pages of the directory will also have a good PR. You'll want to check the page where your link will appear for PR value.

4. Number of links on each page

Less links on the page is better. Because the more links the page has, the more watered down your link will be.

5. Category your link will appear in

The more relevant to your niche and more closer to the home page category the better. You don't want to be 6 steps from the home page.

What is Link Building and What Can You Do To Utilize It?

What is Link Building and What Can You Do To Utilize It?

Link building is the combination of advertising and promoting your site. If done properly it can increase your traffic and get you a higher ranking on Search Engines. The better you build your links, the better you and your business can be advertised.

To get you at the top of the Search Engines requires a fresh and steady flow of content and activity. Someone may think it is about quantity and other quality, and they are both right, you need a good quantity of quality work. It does not matter what the type of business you have or where it will take you in the future, you have to show not only the consumers, but the Search Engines and other companies as well that linking up with you is a good venue.

Some sites have a policy of not showing your company until you have been around for six months; this is not only to ensure that you are in for the long haul, but also to ensure you are worthy of being on their list. Now some web hosts offer 24-hour waiting period before they will submit your link to the Search Engines.

The longer you and others share links, the better it looks for both of you. Some do not realize the amount of time and effort involved in the process of getting a good ranking. When you thought of your business and what you planned for it, you took time to know what would and would not work. Admittedly there is a learning processes and learning how to use build links is an important step.

Link building is very critical in getting your business, known. You need to write down what your company offers and the goals they have planned. Once you know this, start surfing other sites that offer a very similar service. Write them down and save their email addresses.

Once you have your list compiled, go through and begin drafting a letter that describes you and who you are. Make sure to point out highlights of your company and what reason you believe a link exchange with them would be beneficial to both. Now you can use a basic letter for this but you need to personalize each one. Do not mass email either. Unless you are already on their list it could very easily end up as Spam.

Once you have emailed them, mark it on a calendar and save each email that you sent or received from them. This is highly important, you have to know exactly what was said and transpired. You also need to note whether or not they replied. Not hearing an answer does not mean they will not work with you, it could mean that the email did not make it. You need to wait at least 2 weeks before beginning to email them, think of it as applying for a job, interested but not pushy.
